Meet CCRD
Research starts in small and scrappy teams at universities and startups - and also often with the individual entrepreneurial physician-scientist. These teams are made up of the smartest people in science, engineering, and regulations, but marketing is often an afterthought.
When it comes time to launch a study to obtain first-in-human proof or safety and efficacy data, patient recruitment strategy is overlooked as the logistics of site identification, study startup, and study supply takes precedent. But as enrollment lags under initial expectations, teams scramble to find the patients they need to meet critical study milestones.

Founder, Director
Pauline Luong-Carbajal
Pauline is the founder and director of CCRD. She considers herself a multi-passionate entrepreneur with skills and education covering engineering and biological sciences to marketing and graphic design. After obtaining her bachelors of science (BS) in Biomedical Engineering from University of California Berkeley and her masters of Engineering (M.Eng) in Bioengineering from Texas A&M University, she found herself drawn to clinical research as that “unsung hero” career path bridging invention and commercialization.
Pauline has extensive experience in clinical trial operations, project management, monitoring, and data management through her years as a consultant contractor at various clinical research organizations (CROs) and Sponsors. She has worked on drug and device (in vitro, medical, and software) studies in the areas of infectious disease, gastrointestinal, oncology (cancer), allergy, respiratory, cardiology/radiology, and musculoskeletal.
Let's Connect!
Through CCRD, Pauline helps companies elevate their clinical trials with effective marketing. Her approach is technologically optimized but human-first.
CCRD exists to help clinical trials overcome unnecessary recruitment challenges and become an activity that people get excited about. If you have the same vision, connect with CCRD and let's make sure your research reach the right people.
